GN Bank (Liberia) Limited was licensed by the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) in June 2016 following a liquidation of the former First International Bank (Liberia) Limited after its acquisition by new investors with a vision to transform and modernize banking in Liberia.
Sapelle International Bank (Liberia) Limited (hereinafter referred to as “SIB (Liberia) Limited” “SIB” “SIBLL” or the “Bank”) was licensed by the Central Bank of Liberia in August 2020 following a name change from GN Bank (Liberia) Limited. The change of name was to reflect the identity of SIB as a Liberian bank and a renewed commitment to innovation, financial inclusion, and customer-centric services.
Since its transformation, SIBLL has steadily grown to become one of Liberia’s reliable banking institutions, providing a wide range of services to individuals, SMEs, corporate organizations, and government entities. The bank currently operates in six counties with 11 branches and 2 outlets across the country, making it one of the few banks with national reach — including a presence in remote counties like Sinoe.
